? In this session that held with the participation of news scholars from different sections of IRIB, Dr Ahmad Mahdeyan analysed projected discourses of the statement of the #second_phase of the #Islamic_Revolution based on the diamond of the #futures_studies methods. Then accordance to the statistical’s documents about the last status of the country, especially economic situation and rational comparison with other countries, while discussing the causal layered analysis of the current status, provided basic #strategies to move from the current situation to future #scenarios.
➡ Dr Ahmad, #Futurist, pointed out that, given the role of policymaking and the expression of the #values of the path towards revolution in this statement, the exaggerated overwhelming comments made by some senior politicians of the country on the comprehensiveness of this statement in outlining #vision, strategies and action plans can undermine #leadership positions that are considered a privilege for #Iran. That’s because in the current situation only this statement alone can not make any changes to improve.
▶ In order to create a #change in a society, we need to change each individual, which, based on the practical algorithm of #personal_foresight, we can create a desirable and #sustainable future for all people, but this statement just covers a small but an important part of the vision with the expression of values.
⏩ For example, in this report, the goodness of #justice has been mentioned, but there is no plan for its desirable situation and the way to it.
⤵ In the statement, human resources are also regarded as the most valuable assets, especially #young people, but the forces of 20 to 40 years old can not make a change for the #future because they have grown in the current prevailing thinking, so young people under the age of 15 should be considered.
↪ Research shows that the number of #STEM graduates, as well as the number of scientific papers, does not necessarily lead to the country’s #economic development, because according to the current education system, children are taught from an early age how best to compete with each other rather than how best to work as a #team towards and live in a sustainable and #desirable society.
↘ Referring to #Stanford University’s recent report on Iran, Mr. Mahdeyan, PhD in futures studies, pointed out that, despite significant statistical charts in this paper, there is no reference to the future of Iran in 2040, and it seems to be most related to the past, in addition, due to the unrelated expertise of its Iranian authors, it has a dominant-negative image, so that even with the military intervention #scenario and the change of the regime by foreigners, the economic future of Iran has mentioned badly debased in such a way that Iranians have no future but death.
↕ Of course, according to this report, the bad economic situation due to the #weakness of the #government is accepted by most domestic and foreign researchers, but irrational comparison with other countries due to the lack of a common feature among the compared countries is another weakness of the report, which could have been compared Iran with countries with similar populations such as #Germany and #Turkey.
? In the end, Dr Ahmad, futurist, analyzed the layered causes of Iran’s weakness and economic #corruption in order to leap from the current situation, namely, the disappointment scenario to the near future scenario – the pole of #globalization. He introduced two fundamental strategies include the expulsion of the rich from the government in order to separate #power from #wealth as well as a strategy for legalizing justice to provide areas for the strengthening of the governance with the entry of strong elites into the public administration system.
